The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical AI Toolchain & Technology Ecosystem Mapping Manager to strategically define and curate the optimal AI technology stack for our Forward-Deployed AI Engineers and their local business clients. This role is critical for ensuring our platform's relevance, guiding our learning content, and empowering our engineers to efficiently deploy effective AI solutions. You will stay ahead of market trends, evaluate tools, and ensure our engineers have access to the best resources to deliver impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Landscape Monitoring:
Conduct continuous, deep research into the global AI/ML toolchain landscape, covering MLOps platforms, cloud AI services (AWS, Azure, GCP), open-source libraries, Generative AI models (LLMs, vision models), Vector Databases, data engineering tools, and edge AI technologies.
Track emerging trends, new releases, and shifts in industry best practices for AI deployment, especially those relevant to SMBs.
Tool Evaluation & Recommendation:
Systematically evaluate AI/ML tools and platforms based on criteria such as cost-effectiveness, ease of integration, scalability for local business use cases, security features, and community support.
Develop recommendations for a curated "WorkTravel.Agency Approved Toolchain" that balances cutting-edge capabilities with practical applicability for our engineers and clients.
Assess tools for low-code/no-code AI capabilities relevant to local businesses.
Standardisation & Best Practices:
Define and document technical standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for AI solution deployment within WorkTravel.Agency ecosystem.
Collaborate with the Platform Technical Requirements & Development team to ensure chosen tools integrate seamlessly with our platform.
Curriculum Input for Project-Based Learning:
Provide direct input and guidance to the team developing free project-based learning opportunities, ensuring the curriculum is aligned with the latest and most relevant AI tools and deployment methodologies (e.g., MLOps, Generative AI fine-tuning, RAG). Identify skill gaps in the market that our learning modules can address.
Vendor Relationship Management:
Engage with AI tool vendors and platform providers to understand their roadmaps, potential partnerships, and access to training resources.
Knowledge Sharing & Community Support:
Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and insights to Forward-Deployed AI Engineers on tool selection and usage.
Contribute to internal knowledge bases and forums regarding AI technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Deep AI/ML Domain Knowledge: 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, MLOps, or AI solutions architecture, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end AI lifecycle from development to deployment.
Extensive Tooling Experience: Proven hands-on experience with a wide range of AI/ML tools and platforms, including cloud AI services (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google AI Platform), MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Generative AI frameworks.
Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyse complex technical information, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations that align with business goals.
Technical Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proactive Research: Demonstrated ability to independently research and stay current with rapidly evolving AI/ML technologies.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to anticipate future technical challenges and propose solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related technical field.
Experience in a technical leadership, architect, or principal engineer role.
Code: Experience with technical due diligence or product management for AI technologies.
Familiarity with the challenges of AI deployment for SMBs.
